Why Schools Partner With My Yoga Network
Today’s students need more than academics—they need tools for emotional regulation, movement, connection, and confidence. Our programs blend yoga, mindfulness, creative arts, and SEL-aligned activities to support physical health, mental well-being, and social-emotional growth.
Outcomes You Can Measure
- Improved focus and classroom readiness
- Better emotional balance and stress management
- Increased confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Stronger body awareness, coordination, and motor skills
We measure what we can credibly capture: attendance and retention, a bilingual before-and-after parent survey, and parent- and teacher-observed changes in focus and calm. Our last round at Bixby Elementary was overfilled — 100 families signed up for 40 spots.

Compliance & Safety
Your peace of mind is our priority. All instructors meet or exceed district and state standards:
- Live Scan / DOJ fingerprinting & TB clearance — completed before any student contact
- Mandated reporter training
- CPR / First Aid certified
- Trauma-informed & neurodiversity-aware training
- Student-to-staff ratios of 1:10 for TK–K and 1:20 for grades 1–12
- Commercial General Liability ($1M/$2M) and Professional E&O coverage, with your district named as additional insured
A live staff roster — name, role, site, and clearance status — is shared with your program office, updated within one business day of any change, and certified monthly. We provide all required district paperwork, onboarding, and site-specific compliance forms.
Aligned With SEL & Expanded-Learning Standards
Our curriculum supports Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) priorities and California's 12 Quality Standards for Expanded Learning — safe and supportive environments, active and engaged learning, skill building, and youth voice:
- Hands-on, Active Learning: Yoga, movement games, partner activities.
- Social-Emotional Growth: Emotional literacy, self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation.
- Physical Wellness: Flexibility, strength, balance, posture, healthy movement habits.
- Creative Expression: Art, music, journaling, and sensory-based mindfulness.
We complement, not duplicate, the regular school day.

Built for ELO-P & Expanded Learning Programs
We designed our Mindful Movement program around how California districts actually fund and run expanded learning — so your ELO-P, ASES, or ASSETs site can launch with minimal ramp-up and zero cost to families.
How an 8-Week Round Works
- 60–90 minute sessions after school, Monday–Friday, as scheduled by your site
- A predictable arc every session: arrival breath and grounding, active age-banded movement, a cooperative focus game, and a guided wind-down
- Age-banded groups (TK–2, 3–5, 6–8) with the same lead instructor for the full round — continuity children can count on
- Week-8 culminating family showcase where students teach their families a breathing technique and movement sequence they learned
What Your Program Office Gets
- All scheduling confirmed through your expanded-learning office before any session, instructor placement, or family communication
- All materials included — mats, props, and music — with on-site storage coordination
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) program letters, progress notes, and family surveys
- A pre-cleared substitute bench: no session is ever cancelled for a staffing reason
- Itemized monthly invoices aligned to your purchase order, submitted after the service month ends

Frequently Asked Questions
Find Answers About Bringing Yoga & Mindfulness to Schools.
Is this suitable for children with ADHD or anxiety?
Yes! Our instructors are trained in trauma-informed, inclusive teaching methods. Yoga helps kids regulate emotions and manage stress.
Do kids need experience with yoga?
Nope! Our classes are beginner-friendly, fun, and age-appropriate.
What are the safety and liability considerations for the program?
Every instructor completes Live Scan/DOJ fingerprinting, TB clearance, and mandated-reporter training before any student contact. We carry Commercial General Liability ($1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate) and Professional E&O coverage, and we name your district as additional insured. A live staff roster with clearance status is shared with your program office and certified monthly.
How do we enroll students in the program?
We manage everything: QR-code registration with timestamped sign-ups, bilingual (English/Spanish) parent confirmations, and daily attendance reconciled to your program's requirements. Zero administrative burden on school-site staff.
Can this be funded through ELO-P or expanded-learning dollars?
Yes. Our programs are built for California's ELO-P, ASES, and ASSETs funding models — structured 8-week rounds, no cost to families, all materials included, and a culminating family showcase. We are an experienced district vendor with active LBUSD contracting history and references.
What are your group sizes and student-to-staff ratios?
We cap groups at 10 students per instructor for TK–K and 20 students per instructor for grades 1–12. The same lead instructor stays with the same students for the full round, and a pre-cleared substitute bench means sessions are never cancelled for staffing reasons.
Is the program flexible in terms of scheduling?
Absolutely! We run 60–90 minute sessions after school, Monday through Friday, in 8-week rounds — and we also offer in-school, enrichment-block, and seasonal camp formats. All scheduling is confirmed with your program office before services begin.
